Verizon extends data relief offer for all Florida customers through September 15, 2017
Verizon is extending its initial data relief offer for all Florida customers by four days, through September 15, 2017.
With Hurricane Irma heading through Georgia and the Southeast, Verizon network crews are beginning recovery efforts in Florida. Those efforts have already begun in Tampa and Orlando south to Miami.
As waters recede, we are assessing damage and mobilizing equipment and people needed for repairs. Refueling operations are ready, so as soon as it’s safe to access our facilities, those operations will begin to ensure those towers remain in service.
Our network team is staffing our command centers 24×7 and is in contact with federal, state and local emergency management teams to coordinate communication needs and efforts with them.
Our stores are closed today in FL, GA and AL, with stores open for business as usual in the Carolinas and Tennessee. As the storm moves out of each area, we are quickly connecting with our employees to ensure their safety, assessing our locations for damage and will be opening for business to serve our customers as soon as conditions make it possible.
