Ericsson won three awards in two categories at the Asia Mobile Awards (AMOs) ceremony held on the sidelines of Mobile World Congress Shanghai on June 28. The AMOs are the sister awards to the mobile industry’s leading GLOMO Awards, and are judged by a panel of independent experts.

In the Technology Innovation category, Ericsson received the “Best Innovation for LTE to 5G Evolution” award for its work with SK Telecom on the world’s first 5G connected car.

In the Social & Economic Development category, Ericsson received two awards: “Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Markets” for its work on theConnected Mangroves project; and “Outstanding Mobile Contribution to the UN SDGs in Asia” for developing the Pure Solar Site together with Telenor Myanmar.
