2017 Most Powerful People in Colorado

ColoradoBiz Magazine named ViaWest President and CEO Nancy Phillips among Colorado’s 2017 Most Powerful People, a list of 25 people who “exert influence on local and statewide matters through a variety of roles.” The magazine profiles doers, influencers who are notable for what they have accomplished and enabled others to do.
“I am always thinking about ensuring that how we operate as a business, and what our brand represents in the marketplace, is something our employees can be proud of,” says Phillips. Referring to her support for the Colorado business community, the technology industry and the advancement of women, Phillips says, “We all have the power to shape the world we live in by our attitude and outlook, the way we treat others and how we choose to spend our time.”
Phillips has received numerous accolades for her visionary leadership and service, which includes among others the 2016 EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology Services for the Mountain Desert region and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colorado Technology Association.
The list also includes such notable Colorado leaders as Governor John Hickenlooper, Colorado CIO and Secretary of Technology Sumana (Suma) Nallapati, Colorado Chief Justice Nancy Rice and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, in addition to several recognized business leaders.
