2016 – The Strategic Year
Haven’t kept up with our news over the past year? Don’t sweat it because as we turn the corner into 2017, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what was a very strategic 2016. Our CEO, Felipe Alvarez, said it best when he stated, “It’s the year of the Monkey, expect lots of changes. This year will be really, really interesting.” Boy, was he right
When we entered 2016, Axiom Fiber Networks had just launched a brand new channel partner program, which has since opened many opportunities. We began by extending our reach through our strategic partnerships withBroadband Facility Partners (BFP),LightRiver Technologies and Adams Consulting. It’s our belief that the speed and simplicity that partners feel with Axiom is something that you cannot find with just any vendor – an aspect of our brand that has been an integral part of our success over the past year. As we head into 2017, we hope to continue to grow out our channel partner network, furthering the opportunity for growth and innovation.
Also this year, our VP of Operations, Patti Paulo was recognized by ISE Magazine as a 2016 industry influencer. In case you aren’t familiar with the program, ISE chooses a select number of telecom “influencers” who are asked a variety of questions on an array of topics relating to the industry today. If you happened to miss the articles where Patti spoke to the importance of small cells, strategic real estate for dark fiber and achieving network flexibility, you can read them here.
As you know, it wouldn’t be a successful year without all of those key industry events scattered throughout that our team made a priority to attend. Between our management team, we attended PTC, Metro Connect, Channel Partners, ITW, Telecom Exchange NYC, Marketplace Live and INCOMPAS. At
this stage, we are really focused on leveraging and solidifying those essential partnerships that will not only help our customers but our partners’ customers. For that reason alone, these shows were critical and served as the ideal opportunity to foster relationships and assess the state of the industry. “These shows not only allowed us to go after those sophisticated channel partners that we’re hoping to work with, but it also gave us the opportunity to engage with industry thought leaders that we hope to collaborate with as we head into 2017,” comments John Trodden Jr., SVP of Sales.
