  • Axians is a leading provider of ICT solutions to the Swiss emergency services, utilities and governmental sectors
  • Ericsson’s MINI-LINK is the world’s leading microwave solution, suitable for any network scenario

A channel partner agreement has been reached with Axians to promote Ericsson’s (NASDAQ:ERIC, news, filings) MINI-LINK microwave portfolio to the emergency services, utilities and governmental sectors in Switzerland.

Present in the Swiss market for more than 50 years, Ericsson is constantly evolving and adapting its portfolio to meet the needs of the Networked Society. Beyond traditional network infrastructure, IT and media solutions, Ericsson has broadened its offering with products, solutions and services for the utilities, transport and public safety sectors.

One of the key pillars of Ericsson’s expansion in Switzerland is the Ericsson Channel Partner Program for microwave products. Through this program Ericsson identifies partners that can help it to meet local market needs. Axians, a leading provider of ICT solutions to the Swiss emergency services, utilities and governmental sectors, is now authorized to resell Ericsson’s MINI-LINK portfolio to non-telecom customers in the country.

Martin Bürki, Head of Ericsson Switzerland, says: “Following a thorough process of selection and recruitment of new partners, Axians stood out early and was able to demonstrate added value through their know-how and nationwide reach. Our combination of strengths will bring new and innovative solutions to the Swiss market.”

Hermann Huber, Managing Director of Axians Micatel AG, says: “Through our cooperation with Ericsson we strengthen our position in Switzerland of providing solid, long-term solutions for our customers.”

Ericsson’s MINI-LINK is the world’s leading microwave solution, suitable for any network scenario. The portfolio spans all transport technologies (IP, MPLS, Ethernet and TDM), all frequency bands (from 4 to 80 GHz), all deployment types, and applications, all under a common management system.
