AT&T Enhances Gigabit Pricing in Chicago

1 Gigabit Connection Powered by AT&T Fiber Now Available in Chicago area at $70 per Month

Ultra-fast 100% fiber internet from AT&T1 has spread quickly across Chicagoland since launching in April 2015. We now offer a 1 gigabit connection2 on our 100% fiber network powered by AT&T FiberSM to over 150,000 customer locations in the Chicago area.3

AT&T Internet 1000, our fastest speed tier on our 100% fiber network, is available for an everyday price of $70 a month.  AT&T Internet 100 is also available on the network for $60 a month. Customers may add our award-winning DIRECTV or U-verse TV service.

All current AT&T Internet 1000 and AT&T Internet 100 customers will automatically receive the new lower price within the next 1-2 billing cycles.

“This is an aggressive offer. Our enhanced price for the area comes at a time when other providers are doubling the price of their service or failing to meet their commitment to connect Chicago,” said Cheryl Choy, vice president, data and voice products at AT&T. “We’re offering the best integrated experience and ultra-fast internet for customers with AT&T Fiber.”

The Chicago area is one of 44 metros nationwide where our ultra-fast internet service is currently available. We plan to reach at least 67 metros with our fastest internet service.

We market our ultra-fast service to over 3 million locations nationwide. Over 500,000 of these locations include apartments and condo units. And we’re on track to meet the 12.5 million locations planned by mid-2019.

Ultra-fast 100% fiber internet, powered by AT&T Fiber, is available today to residents and small businesses in parts of over 25 different communities in 8 northern Illinois counties. These include:

  • Cook: Chicago, Des Plaines, Elgin, Norridge, Skokie, Oak Park
