BROOMFIELD, Colo., Nov. 15, 2016 – Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) received the top ranking in the 2016 IHS SIP Trunking North America Service Provider Scorecard. The scorecard analyzes and ranks the top 10 Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking service providers in North America.
“The scorecard identifies companies best positioned to succeed long-term. Level 3 is a consistent top performer and an innovator in the SIP trunking space,” said Diane Myers, senior research director for VoIP, UC and IMS at IHS Markit.
IHS Markit analyzes and ranks North American service providers against criteria including the number of IP-connectivity trunks, financial stability, market strategy, service capabilities and support options.
Level 3’s SIP trunking service, Voice Complete, was recognized for its extensive list of supported PBXs and premise devices, direct ISDN connections to non-IP devices, standard and advanced features, and built-in emergency services and failover protection.
