CHICAGO, July 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Inteliquent, Inc. (NASDAQ:IQNT, news, filings), a premier interconnection partner for communications service providers of all types, today announced the expansion of its Omni services with a new set of features and functionality designed to provide additional support to next-generation (next-gen) service providers. With the new capabilities, such as Calling Name Identification (CNAM) and Directory Listing/Directory Assistance, Inteliquent continues to deliver on its commitment to innovate the Omni service suite to meet the needs of the dynamic next-gen provider market. With this continued evolution of product capabilities, the Omni service suite product name has also evolved to Omni IQSM.
“The expansion of Omni IQ marks another step forward in our company’s evolution to support communications service providers of all types. The product name enhancement also emphasizes how Inteliquent is not only helping customers make connections, but also helping them innovate, create better products and services, and tap into new market opportunities,” said Brett Scorza, Inteliquent’s CIO and EVP of Next-Generation Services. “We listened to the needs of our next-gen customers, and expanded the Omni IQ service suite to help them deliver the highest quality experience to their customers.
Omni IQ, launched earlier this year, is the industry’s first comprehensive, one-stop shop voice and messaging solution for unified communications providers, VOIP carriers, API platform providers, cloud conferencing services and others. The Omni IQ product line enables communications providers to use Inteliquent services and its superior network to power their solutions easily and efficiently.
The new Omni IQ features and functionality include:
- Calling Name Identification (CNAM) — An automated solution for updating the underlying databases that provide a caller’s name to the called party’s telephone equipment
- Directory Listing/Directory Assistance — A single-source for fast and accurate additions, changes or deletions to print and online listings
- E9-1-1 — Rapid, simple and worry-free reliability for nationwide 9-1-1 emergency service
- Automated Local Number Portability — Provides customers with a fast, easy mechanism to perform “porting” of phone numbers to the Inteliquent network, available via both Web portal and fully automated APIs
“The team at Inteliquent took the time to understand our customers’ needs when they developed the Omni IQ service suite and Web portal that supports these services,” said Nicky Smith, CEO of Carolina Digital. “We are using an Inteliquent API for porting availability for our resellers and partners, and consider it one of the best in the business.”
The new features will supplement what is already offered within the Omni IQ service suite. Omni IQ equips all service providers, whether they are more traditional telecommunications carriers or next-gen service providers, with all inbound and outbound voice call flows, message-enabled DIDs, inbound and outbound SMS and MMS messaging, and the market’s most user-friendly Web portal and APIs for seamless integration and automation.
