Consolidated Communications Awards $33,000 in Grants to Local Schools Through Earning For Learning Program
MATTOON, Ill. – Consolidated Communications recently announced its annual Earning For Learning Program grant awards totaling more than $33,000 to local school districts, education foundations and parochial schools in central Illinois.
Consolidated’s Earning For Learning (EFL) Program began in 1993 and has provided $3.5 million in grants to central Illinois schools focused on K-12 academic initiatives with new technology purchases and innovative learning programs and projects.
“Consolidated Communications has a long history of helping our schools through our Earning For Learning Program with investments in technology and other programs for enhanced learning opportunities,” said Michael Smith, chief marketing officer at Consolidated Communications. “As a company, we are pleased to support our teachers and schools in the communities we serve.”
The company hosted a reception at its Mattoon headquarters on May 3 to present the checks to the grant recipients. The following school districts, parochial schools and education foundations received funding in the 2016 program:
