This is Sprint’s first win for network reliability in Orlando which measures the ability for a customer to make and maintain a network connection. As for call performance, Sprint did not record any blocked or dropped calls during testing.

“This win solidifies our investment and commitment to Orlando, and across the state to build a network that provides Floridians with an exceptional wireless experience. Because we’ve come a long way, we’re proud that today our network is ranked as one of the most reliable networks in Orlando. The combination of a great network and 50% off the competition means there’s never been a better time to join Sprint.”

Jaime Jones, President, South Area

A Top-Ranked Network in Orlando

This is the tenth time RootMetrics has tested Orlando, with the last test occurring in September 2015. RootMetrics drove a total of 1,048 miles and conducted 19,743 tests in Orlando. During testing, RootMetrics was able to experience Sprint’s carrier aggregation technology on the 2.5GHz spectrum band. This feature of Sprint’s super-fast LTE Plus Network creates a wider lane that allows more network traffic to travel at higher rates, enabling Sprint to provide Orlando customers with even faster data speeds.

In addition to deploying some of the most advanced technologies in wireless, Sprint has relentlessly focused on expanding and fine-tuning the network in Orlando. Network performance has continued to improve with the addition of new cell sites, increased coverage and capacity, and systematic optimization of each cell site to maximize performance. Sprint has also improved service and upgraded the wireless systems in venues such as the Orlando International Airport, Orange County Convention Center and the Amway Center.

Orlando, Switch to Sprint and Save 50%

In addition to offering one of the most reliable networks in Orlando, consumers switching to Sprint can take advantage of the biggest wireless offer in U.S. history – 50 percent off the price of most Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile rate plans.1Customers who switch get 50 percent off most current rate plan prices from their current carrier. And, Sprint will pay switching fees up to $650 per line.2
