This is the first time Sprint has received an outright #1 RootScore Award in Las Vegas for overall performance and speed. Since RootMetrics’ previous test in August, Sprint’s median download speed increased from 9.2 Mbps to 16.5 Mbps; and median upload speed increased from 4.9 Mbps to 8.1 Mbps.

“Vegas, with its non-stop entertainment and boundless energy, deserves a great network we’re proud to deliver just that. With the absolute best network performance and 50% off the competition, it’s a great time to give Sprint a try.”

Greg Post, President, Mountain Southwest Region

A Top-Ranked Network in Vegas

RootMetrics drove a total of 970 miles and conducted 14,741 tests in Las Vegas. During testing RootMetrics was able to experience Sprint’s carrier aggregation technology on the 2.5GHz spectrum band. This feature of Sprint’s super-fast LTE Plus Network creates a wider lane that allows more network traffic to travel at higher rates, enabling Sprint to provide Las Vegas customers with even faster data speeds.

In addition to deploying some of the most advanced technologies in wireless, Sprint has relentlessly focused on expanding and fine-tuning the network in Las Vegas. In the past year, the company added new cell sites, increased its coverage and capacity, and systematically optimized each cell site to maximize performance. Sprint also improved service and upgraded the wireless systems in and around the Strip, and in key areas such as Fremont Street, Summerlin, Anthem, Seven Hills, and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Las Vegas, Switch to Sprint and Save 50%

In addition to offering the #1 network in Vegas, consumers switching to Sprint can take advantage of the biggest wireless offer in U.S. history – 50 percent off the price of most Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile rate plans.1 Customers who switch get 50 percent off most current rate plan prices from their current carrier. And, Sprint will pay switching fees up to $650 per line.2
