There is camaraderie here at AT&T. At every level, there’s a spirit of unity and a shared desire for doing great work.
We have resource groups, like HACEMOS, where members can come together and do just that. It makes a difference, and it’s recognized. Last week, LATINA Style magazine recognized HACEMOS as one of the “Top 10 Hispanic Employee Resource Groups” of 2015.
It’s the 18th year in a row our employees have made this prestigious list.
“Our people care about our business and their communities,” said Cinthya Allen, national president, HACEMOS. “The energy of our members is contagious. They deserve the recognition.”
LATINA Style selects ERGs based on a number of criteria relating to business impact, employee empowerment and community involvement.
This year is also the 18th year HACEMOS will host its annual National High Tech Day across more than 30 cities. The one-day event will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, 2016. More than 2,000 students will participate.
Mayra Caceres is a principal network planning engineer for AT&T. She’s a leader, recently recognized as Role Model of the Year by HISPA. Mayra knows High Tech Day is one more chance to inspire young Latinos.
“The more we can expose them to careers in technology, the more they will expand their possibilities,” said Caceres. “HACEMOS does a great job of developing the leaders of tomorrow.”
In 2014, HACEMOS received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for completing 31,065 hours of volunteer work. In December 2015 the group placed 3rd in the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s annual ERG Summit.
Senior Vice President of Premium Care, Carmen P. Nava was recognized as the highest ranking Latina at AT&T on the same list.
