HIBERNIA NETWORKS POSITIONED TO FURTHER REDUCE INDUSTRY LEADING LATENCY PERFORMANCE ON HIBERNIA EXPRESS TRANSATLANTIC ROUTE BY DEPLOYING ALTERNATIVE AND INNOVATIVE BACKHAUL INFRASTRUCTURE

Ability to reduce latency on London to New York route reinforces position as the leader in lowest latency performance across the Atlantic.

DUBLIN, IRELAND – January 18, 2016 – Hibernia Networks, a provider of global high speed telecommunications solutions, announces that it has acquired alternative backhaul infrastructure  to further reduce industry leading latency performance on Hibernia Express, its new transatlantic cable route connecting New York to London. Utilizing state-of-the-art radio frequency transmission technology and an innovative route design, the accelerated network performance solidifies Hibernia Networks’ position as the provider of the lowest latency services on the transatlantic corridor. Hibernia Express latency on the subsea cable connecting North America and UK is RFCS tested at 44.92ms.

“Hibernia Networks has demonstrated a commitment to innovating latency performance on the key routes connecting the major financial exchanges,” states Dan Connell, managing director, market structure and technology at Greenwich Associates. “Financial firms rely on leading edge network providers like Hibernia Networks to ensure they are trading on the most current market information.”

To further reduce latency beyond the already industry leading performance of sub 58.95ms on the high density traffic London to New York route, Hibernia Networks has procured alternative backhaul routes in the United Kingdom as part of its phase one deployment. The low latency services delivered over Hibernia Express are relied upon by customers for mission critical applications across numerous segments, including financial firms, content providers, and web-centric companies.

“At Hibernia Networks we are unwavering in our commitment to provide the industry leading network performance that our most demanding customers entrust us to deliver,” states Omar Altaji, CCO of Hibernia Networks. “Customers rely on our low latency, high capacity connectivity solutions to ensure their ability to stay competitive in today’s networked world.”
