Cloud storage and sharing company joins growing cloud community dedicated to meeting Europeans’ cloud needs.
London, December 9, 2015 – Zettabox, the European cloud storage and team-sharing platform, today announced that it has joined the Cloud28+ community, an open, federated ecosystem dedicated to accelerating business cloud adoption across Europe.
Cloud28+ features an online catalogue of trusted, enterprise cloud services that match in-country or cross-border buyer and regulatory workload requirements. End users can easily search the right service to match their business needs, based on criteria such as workload requirements, price, and certification levels.
As a Cloud28+ member, Zettabox offers the only pan-European cloud-based storage and sharing solution that is fully compliant with Europe’s strictest data privacy laws. This includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that is expected to be approved by the European Parliament shortly. Zettabox has been designed with data protection built in, including unique functionality like GeoTool. With Zettabox GeoTool, customers can select one of ten data centres in Europe, thereby complying with regional requirements that data be held locally. Data will never be stored in the US or on US-owned networks, meaning companies need not worry about the Safe Harbor invalidation.
“We created Zettabox to help European companies build sustainable futures in the cloud by ensuring compliance with increasingly strict data protections laws in the EU. Cloud28+ was a logical community for Zettabox to join as their mission is to build a cohesive and collaborative cloud environment, for Europeans by Europeans. We are proud to be a part of this thriving and growing pan-European community,” said James Kinsella, Zettabox founder.
Zettabox provides cloud storage and team sharing tools for companies who need to comply with Europe’s ever-stringent data protection regulation. Zettabox can be used by anyone, but it has been built for business, with dashboard controls essential for management of content within a corporation or team. And Zettabox has been designed with data protection built in to guarantee compliance with the new, upcoming EU regulation. Zettabox launched in June of 2015, following two years of research and development.
Zettabox is based in London and Prague. Zettabox deploys technology in secure EU-based data centres and uses payment technology provided by a German-based ecommerce platform.
