OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), December 10, 2015 – Tim Donahue has been named Sprint (NYSE:S, news, filings) president of the Kansas and Missouri Region. Based in Kansas City, he will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer. Donahue will remain in his current position as vice president, consumer and general business Web, telesales and field marketing for Sprint until the new regional structure is completely rolled out next year.

Donahue’s appointment follows Sprint’s announcement that it will restructure the company into four geographic areas – West, Central, Northeast and South – with targeted resources devoted to 19 top markets, including Kansas and Missouri. Under Donahue’s leadership the company will develop market-specific offerings serving the unique local needs of consumer and business customers.

The Central geographic area covers Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, West Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin. It encompasses more than 533 company-owned or Sprint-branded retail stores.

Donahue is vice president of consumer and general business Web, telesales and field marketing for Sprint. In this role, he is responsible for all activities related to consumer telesales, the business inside sales organization, Web sales, social tactics for sales channels, and business individual liable and corporate liable local marketing tactics.

Before being named to this role, Donahue was vice president of small/medium business sales for Sprint, leading a business inside sales team with four centers across the U.S. and a field sales team ranging from the upper Midwest to Florida/Puerto Rico. Donahue has also served as vice president of Solution and International Sales, encompassing sales and technical specialists responsible for Sprint’s portfolio of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions, International solutions for overseas customers, and selling and implementing Sprint’s portfolio of Custom Network Solutions.
