DIRECTV Delivers ‘Remember’, Directed by Academy Award-Nominated Director Atom Egoyan

DIRECTV, now part of the AT&T* family, is offering customers an exclusive look at “Remember”, the second film by Academy Award®-nominated director Atom Egoyan (“The Captive”) to premiere on DIRECTV CINEMA®.

Egoyan creates a thrillingly fast-paced revenge story that deals with the aftermath of one of the most deplorable and significant events in recent history.  The film delivers outstanding performances from Academy Award®-winner Christopher Plummer (“Danny Collins”), Academy Award®-winner Martin Landau (“Ed Wood”) and Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad”).

“Remember” tells the story of Zev Guttman (Christopher Plummer), a 90-year-old struggling with memory loss living out his final years in a serene retirement home.  A week after the death of his beloved wife Ruth, he receives a mysterious package from his close friend Max (Martin Landau), containing money and a shocking plan.

Both Zev and Max were prisoners in Auschwitz. The same sadistic guard who was responsible for the death of both their families has been living in the U.S. under an assumed identity. Max is wheelchair-bound but in full command of his mental faculties. With Max’s help, Zev embarks on a cross-continental road trip to bring justice to the man who destroyed both their lives.

“’Remember’ is both poignant and suspenseful with remarkable lead performances by legendary actors Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau” said Hanny Patel, vice president, Revenue & Content Marketing, AT&T.  “We’re excited to offer Atom Egoyan’s latest film exclusively to customers – over one month before it hits theaters.”

“Remember” will be available for 72-hour rental. You can view it in 1080p HD (Blu-ray format) for $12.99 and in standard-definition (SD) for $9.99. DIRECTV CINEMA is a premium pay-per-view service that brings customers exclusive access to select, new releases before they’re in theaters.
