Business tenants in Modesto now have a new choice for scalable, high-performance Ethernet, Internet, WiFi and advanced voice services to improve their operations

LIVERMORE, Calif. – November 10, 2015 – Comcast Business today announced an extension of its advanced fiber network to the Modesto Business Park, located northwest of the intersection of McHenry Avenue and Pelandale Avenue. The extension is designed to help improve productivity and enhance business performance for the growing base of small businesses and organizations in the Modesto community that require more capacity to meet their connectivity needs. Comcast installed more than four miles of fiber, both underground and aerial, to the business community.
The high-performance fiber-based network will provide businesses with Ethernet capacity up to 10 Gbps, which is critical for data intensive interactions. The expansion comes as a result of a more than $580,000 investment from Comcast and allows the business park, home to more than 280 businesses, to receive fiber-based Internet for the first time, as well as reliable IP-based voice services.
“We are thrilled Comcast has made this investment in our community,” said Garrad Marsh, Mayor of Modesto. “We know businesses must have access to high-speed broadband in order to expand or relocate. Comcast’s commitment ensures Modesto has the infrastructure to support new job creation and economic opportunities.”
