Media Advisory: Juniper Networks Demonstrates Latest VMware Integrations for Simplified Network Security and Automation at VMworld 2015 Europe

Public Company Information:

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Juniper Networks (NASDAQ:JNPR, news, filings), the industry leader in network innovation, today announced details regarding its upcoming participation at VMworld 2015 Europe, VMware’s annual regional user conference and exhibition, October 12-15 at the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona. Juniper Networks is a Gold Sponsor and will be located at exhibition booth G318.

Juniper Networks and VMware are long-standing mutual technology alliance partners. Juniper has delivered a number of VMware integrations and advantages across our portfolio with Juniper Networks® MetaFabric™ Architecture. This positions Juniper as the network and security vendor of choice for customers using VMware technologies, from small solutions based on vSphere, to large comprehensive SDDCs with vRealize Operations (vROps) and NSX, to hybrid clouds with vCloud Air. For customers, the benefits of Juniper and VMware integration are:

  • Operational cost savings and efficiencies from joint operations and cross-VMware-Juniper technology visibility, telemetry, and automation in management tooling.
  • Seamless high-performance virtual networking from routers and switches that plugs into the overlays in SDDCs deploying SDN with NSX.
  • Simplified security with next-generation firewall in physical or virtual form that scales from small branch deployments, to the largest data center, or to the vCloud Air data centers.

Speaker Session Highlights:

Date: October 13
Time: 14:00-15:00 CET
Speaker: Thomas Ruban, VP engineering EMEA, Juniper Networks
Session Topic: Smart software is indispensable, smart networking hardware is fundamental: an invincible combination for digital success
In this session Juniper will focus on a virtualized, software-centric, data center-driven world in which the opportunities to create business advantage are endless. Yet, software is only as good as the network it runs on; the importance of network hardware must not be underestimated, overlooked or disregarded. Sophisticated software can only be truly optimized to flourish in an infrastructure when matched with high-speed, reliable and scalable networking hardware.

Technical Demonstrations available in the Juniper Networks Booth (G318):

Demo of Bridged VMware NSX Overlay Networks with a VTEP on Juniper Networks QFX Switches
This brief demo will highlight a new way to unify data center operations. It will show the latest version (6.2) of VMware NSX for vSphere in action, managing virtual overlay networks that are bridged to bare-metal servers through a high-performance Juniper Networks® QFX Series Ethernet Switch.

VMware vROps plugin by Juniper Networks
This demonstration illustrates how the Juniper management pack, which plugs into vRealize Operations (vROps), makes life much easier for the VMware server virtualization and orchestration operator by pulling contextual networking information into view in new vROps Juniper dashboards when the Juniper management pack is installed.
