Over the past three decades, Biosidus has developed a global business for the supply of high-quality biopharmaceuticals, with exports to Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America markets. Biosidus’ global production plants and local administrative offices needed reliable connectivity and high definition videoconference services to facilitate communications between their various offices and global partners.
In 2014, based on its production growth, Biosidus decided to relocate its administrative offices from a production facility in the district of Almagro, to a corporate office building in the district of Munro, both in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This project required installation of videoconference rooms to connect operational plants in Bernal to production facilities in Almagro and to the new headquarter offices in Buenos Aires.
Biosidus’s previous communication technology was obsolete and the company needed an overhaul. The new headquarters configuration was the catalyst to create a simple and accessible communication solution for multiple devices at locations around the globe that enabled access from both public and private networks.
Level 3’s Enhanced Video Collaboration (EVC) was the solution of choice. In addition, Biosidus added a videoconference solution using Polycom equipment for four physical rooms that connected the plant locations of Almagro and Bernal with two rooms at the Munro facility. Multiple devices were integrated through the private network (MPLS), with collaborative access and a virtual videoconference room.
Biosidus has customers in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. In the near future they plan to open offices in Mexico, in addition to their office in Hong Kong.

Luis Piccolo, Vice President of Sales for Argentina, Chile, and Peru for Level 3
“Videoconference service creates a cultural evolution in the heart of an organization, and a remarkable improvement in the quality of communications processes. Biosidus embraced it at a fast pace, and is demonstrating how useful it is to their expanding business in different geographies.”
