BTI Systems Expands Services Portfolio to Accommodate Unprecedented Worldwide Growth in Metro Networking

Drives Rapid, Cost-effective and Seamless Deployment of Cloud and Metro Networks for Web 2.0, Colocation and Service Providers

Global Network Operations Center Offloads Complexities, Ensures Continuous Performance

OTTAWA and BOSTON, September 1, 2015

BTI Systems, a market-leading provider of cloud and metro networking software and systems to colocation, content and service providers around the world, today announced the expansion of service and support capabilities delivered by its internationally respected services organization. The expansion is reflective of the rapid growth in demand for BTI services – revenues grew nearly 50 percent from 2013 to 2014 and are on pace to exceed that in 2015, while CAGR from 2011 to 2014 was 63 percent.

Already supporting customers in more than 40 countries, BTI has tripled its range of service offerings while nearly doubling the size of its team. By doing so, the company is accelerating the ability of Web 2.0, colocation and service providers to augment operational resources and monetize their network investments to fuel the quick and cost-effective deployment of new services while optimizing network performance.

“Epsilon provides connectivity and infrastructure outsourcing solutions to Communications, Applications, Content and Cloud service providers globally,” said George Szlosarek, COO of Epsilon. “We have the network infrastructure, intelligence and expertise to deliver connectivity and communications services that support our customers’ success. We have leveraged BTI’s extensive services including onsite training, planning, testing, staging and consulting. BTI’s team continues to support us as we are constantly working to ensure our network is the highest performing for our extensive customer base.”

Explosive growth in cloud services, video, mobile and other content-rich applications is putting networks under constant and unyielding pressure. The numbers are staggering. According to Cisco’s 2015 Visual Networking Index, it would take an individual more than five million years to watch the amount of video that will cross global IP networks each month in 2019. Moreover, the number of devices connected to IP networks will be three times greater than the global population in 2019. These trends are fundamentally changing how networks are being architected and deployed.

As such, carriers and cloud providers must ensure their networks are “always on” and “always available.” Failure to do so could risk customer loyalty, revenue and brand preference. BTI, through working closely with global customers, has developed a suite of services to match their customers’ needs – from a Network Operations Center (NOC) that monitors and provides emergency network restoration, to guaranteed four-hour onsite parts delivery and onsite technician support, to regional instructor-led and e-learning training centers.

“BTI has deployed hundreds of cloud and metro networks for Internet content, colocation and service providers around the world, leveraging that experience and knowledge to create a Best Practices approach,” said Raj Sathyaraj, BTI’s senior director, worldwide service sales and business development. “For some of the largest cloud providers that built their own networks, we provide 7x24x365 monitoring, management and emergency resolution, relieving them of the costly and complex requirement of establishing and staffing a 7x24x365 NOC. For traditional service providers needing expert resources and augmented monitoring, we also offer consulting, rapid deployment services and training. We help our customers achieve business objectives and compete successfully in a crowded cloud and metro services marketplace.”

Enhanced Levels of Service and Support

The BTI ServiceLink Portfolio maximizes network investments with comprehensive lifecycle services that accelerate time-to-value, improve network availability and contain costs. With an enhanced portfolio, BTI offers customizable services to encompass every aspect of the network, from planning and implementation to technical support and training.

BTI has expanded its services portfolio beyond Technical Support Services to include Premium Support Services and Professional Services. BTI’s Technical Support offers full NOC capabilities, as well as hardware and software maintenance. All service calls are routed directly to a BTI Support Engineer, regardless of the time, day or location – not to a third party.

BTI’s Premium Support Services include four-hour turnaround service with replacement parts and a BTI technician onsite. BTI continues to expand its parts depots with 25 active depots globally and access to 400 more depots, so rapid response is never an issue. Premium Services also include multivendor maintenance, network monitoring and provisioning, and asset recovery services.

BTI’s expanded Professional Services include: rapid deployment services; technical consulting and training; a BTI resident engineer located full time at a customer site if desired; network optimization services; fiber optimization and remediation services; and staging services through which BTI stages a customer network off-premise, tests it and then installs it at a customer site fully loaded and ready to go.

With training centers in St. Louis and Singapore, BTI also provides e-learning training and onsite personalized programs.

“Our software-defined packet optical networking platforms, combined with our wide breath of services and support options, continue to reinforce BTI Systems’ reputation as the leader in metro and cloud networking solutions,” continued Sathyaraj. “Our commitment to helping customers achieve specific business outcomes, in addition to traditional break-fix support, is what fuels our 97 percent customer satisfaction ranking reinforced by renewal rates in excess of 90 percent.”

BTI was recently ranked among the world’s top vendors, identified by analyst firm Ovum as the third-largest provider of DCI solutions to Internet Content Providers (ICPs) and Carrier-Neutral Providers (CNPs). Fueled by BTI’s focus on metro-optimized solutions, BTI in July was named Private Company of the Year in 2015 by Light Reading, recognizing the company for its outstanding achievements in next-generation communications technology, applications and services.
