Company Continues Growth with 25th Acquisition, Seamlessly Integrating New Customers
Atlanta – June 22, 2015 – Birch Communications, Inc., (“Birch”) a leading technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT-services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, announced that it has completed the customer asset acquisition of OrbitCom, a regional provider of voice and data solutions to small and medium businesses.
This acquisition further solidifies Birch’s geographic territory in 14 states across and adjacent to the northern Tier, Rockies and Pacific Northwest; adding density by tucking-in customers to the Birch customer footprint that extends to all 50 U.S. states, Washington DC, Canada and Puerto Rico.
“We’re excited that our customers can access solutions with a broad array of products that address the total communication and technology needs of their businesses,” said Brad VanLeur, President at OrbitCom, Inc.
OrbitCom customers now have access to a more comprehensive product portfolio, larger service footprint and award-winning customer care. Beyond basic phone and broadband services, Birch has the ability to provide symmetric, business-grade internet such as T1, Ethernet over Copper and Metro-Fiber technologies — all solutions that can be used in combination with MPLS. Together with its feature-rich TotalCloud PBX, TotalCloud Data Center and TotalCloud File Storage solutions, Birch has everything that business customers need from one provider.
“I am most enthusiastic to welcome the former OrbitCom customers to Birch and to provide them with many new optional service offerings, which are designed to meet their current and emerging business needs. Ensuring that our customers have a large selection of integrated solutions to choose from allows them the freedom to implement technologies that make the most sense for their business,” said Vincent M. Oddo, Birch President and CEO. “We are also eager to introduce the former OrbitCom customers to our exceptional customer service from our certified ‘Call Centers of Excellence’.” (BenchmarkPortal, 2014)
This marks Birch’s 25th acquisition and the transaction added more than 5,000 business customers.
