Company Continues Growth Momentum, Adding Another Acquisition to the Fold
Atlanta – May 7, 2015 – Birch Communications, Inc., (“Birch”) a leading technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT-services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the customer assets of OrbitCom, Inc. Marking Birch’s 24th acquisition, the transaction will add more than 5,000 business customers to Birch’s fold and is expected to close in Q2 ‘15.
Headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD, OrbitCom is a regional provider of voice, data and IT (colocation and hosting) solutions to small and medium businesses in several markets across 14 states. OrbitCom’s customer and product profile is very similar to the existing Birch customer and product profile, making this an ideal tuck-in acquisition which will be integrated seamlessly upon the closing of the transaction.
