Two leading national retailers are the latest SageNet customers to sign-up for Nuvia’s enhanced, cloud-based, collaboration capabilities
Orlando, FL, March 18, 2015 – GENBAND™, a leading developer of real time communications software solutions, today announced that SageNet, a leading Managed Network Solutions partner, is leveraging the Nuvia™ platform to deliver Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) to its large base of retail and enterprise customers. Nuvia’s cloud-based solution provides SageNet customers with a full suite of business communications and collaboration tools.
Two large national SageNet retail customers have recently signed up to deploy the Nuvia platform and the company will continue to sell the service to new and existing customers. Nuvia’s capabilities include HD voice, video, multimedia messaging, mobility, conferencing, Web collaboration, desktop unified communications (UC) clients and fixed-mobile convergence.
“We are fortunate to support over 160,000 locations for many of the country’s largest retailers, state lotteries and energy companies – so we conducted a thorough evaluation prior to selecting Nuvia as our UCaaS solution,” said Brad Wise, President of SageNet. “The combination of carrier-grade services and a differentiated offering couldn’t be matched. Of course, we would never ask our customers to use a solution we did not use ourselves so we also have deployed Nuvia across our own Enterprise and Call Center. As a Managed Services Provider, it is our job to deliver robust, cutting-edge solutions to our customers, all while eliminating the hassle factor that can sometimes come with advanced technology solutions. The fact that we can package Nuvia’s UC features and SIP Trunks from multiple providers and deploy all endpoints nationwide over our own MPLS Network for QoS takes the complexity out of what could otherwise be a somewhat daunting task for our customers. GENBAND’s Nuvia solution enables us to deliver the value-add that our customers have come to know and expect.”
“We are excited to support SageNet in driving powerful UC capabilities into retail and other verticals nationwide and to help fortify their businesses with best-in-class communications services and productivity tools,” said Jon Jorgl, President of Enterprise Solutions at GENBAND. “SageNet customers are looking for enterprise-wide communications capabilities that are richer and can be deployed faster and more effectively maintained without burdening local staff. It’s a case study for how cloud-communications is improving the end-user experience and simultaneously improving the CFO’s bottom line.”
SageNet is further leveraging Nuvia’s multi-site management capabilities outside of traditional retail and enterprise environments. The company’s satellite communications practice is using Nuvia to deliver robust communications services to challenging environments such as offshore/onshore oil rigs. Those same services are also offered to more traditional enterprises as a back-up solution in the event of communications failures.
In addition to its comprehensive suite of enterprise-ready communications solutions that meet the diverse needs of today’s workforce, Nuvia builds on GENBAND’s foundation of millions of business lines deployed with leading service providers. This heritage enables the Nuvia platform to support legacy Nortel IP phones, making it extremely attractive and a cost-effective migration option for CS 1000 customers seeking to preserve their endpoint investments.
