Huawei Named First Chinese Member Of Association Of Strategic Alliance Professionals

[Orlando, March 3, 2015] Huawei today became the first China-headquartered company to gain membership of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP), the world’s leading industry association dedicated to the practice of alliance management worldwide.

"As a global leader in the ICT industry, Huawei has unique expertise to contribute but also much to learn from the experience of other ASAP members," said Paul Liu, president of Huawei’s corporate partner and alliance management team. "As the ICT industry grows, we are all increasingly dependent on open, cross-industry collaboration, alliances and ecosystems. Huawei is committed to bringing strong alliance thought leadership to the broader ASAP partner community and to benefiting through our ASAP membership," he added.

With its global membership, Huawei will gain access to a wealth of ASAP tools, processes and best practice guides to help it build deeper global alliances, engage with other members in the global ICT ecosystem and implement a professional development and certification programme for its alliance managers and their teams.
