EarthLink’s New Managed Network Service Delivers End-to-End Optimization, Visibility and Proactive Monitoring to Maximize Performance

ATLANTA, GA — March 5, 2015 — EarthLink Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:ELNK, news, filings) , a leading managed network and cloud solutions provider for multi-location businesses, has introduced a new Managed Network Service designed to optimize network performance, provide proactive monitoring and network performance analysis, and relieve the daily operational burden of network management. As new technologies and applications put increasing strain on business networks, it is no longer enough to simply deploy a network without implementing a proactive plan for performance optimization and monitoring. By outsourcing this vital function to EarthLink, clients gain the people, processes and tools that act as an extension of their IT staff. This includes the assignment of an experienced Network Engineer and Delivery Manager to improve their network performance, support routine maintenance and handle issue resolution, freeing the internal team to focus on more strategic business initiatives.

Mingledorff's, a leading HVAC equipment distributor with 33 locations throughout the southeast, recently selected EarthLink Managed Network Service to proactively monitor, manage and optimize their MPLS network. With a host location in Georgia and multiple sites running voice, data and Internet, Mingledorff's IT team was unable to stay on top of network performance, relying on employees in the field to report issues.

"Mingledorff's has been a satisfied EarthLink customer for more than 5 years, but since we enhanced our solution with their Managed Network Service, we've enjoyed significant gains in network performance, uptime and faster resolution. Now if a location has issues overnight, troubleshooting begins before I even know there's a problem," said Mike Feagin, Network Manager, Mingledorff's. "We also enjoy a terrific working relationship and truly seamless support with our assigned EarthLink crew. They've become like a part of my IT team."

EarthLink's Managed Network Service is available to businesses utilizing either an EarthLink-provided network or a third-party network. Both offer robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) enabling faster resolution of network and on-premises equipment issues. Customers can also take advantage of EarthLink's geographically diverse network operations centers (NOC), which erases the significant capital and operational expense of running and staffing their own NOC. EarthLink's team c ontinuously monitors and proactively manages all aspects of the customer's network, including network routers, switches, load balancers, WAN accelerators, SSL VPN concentrators, and wireless access points. With immediate response to alarms and alerts, along with remediation follow-through, clients also significantly increase employee productivity and reduce customer complaints.

"Business networks run the key applications that drive productivity and growth, but without tying it all together with proactive network management, companies leave a lot of efficiencies on the table," said Rick C. Froehlich, EarthLink Executive Vice President, Products and Consumer. "EarthLink's Managed Network Service gets out in front of any issues to optimize our clients' network performance so that vital applications run at optimal levels, helping them deliver great service to their customers."
