Giving credit where credit is due…or not

For those people who can’t or don’t want to sign a long-term contract but want to be part of the Sprint brand, we introduced Sprint Prepaid last year – formerly known as Sprint As You Go – to live alongside Sprint’s other prepaid brands,Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile.

Contrary to what you may hear, T-Mobile did not invent prepaid wireless service, nor were they the first to recognize that there are people who don’t have adequate credit history to sign a contract. That includes consumers who haven’t had a chance to establish “good” credit – very common among college students and young adults. In fact, these under-served customers have always been a key target for Sprint’s prepaid brands.

Once only available in Sprint Stores, Sprint Prepaid is now available in national retail and local dealer stores as well. Monthly plans on Sprint Prepaid without a credit check or long-term commitment are:

  • $35 – Unlimited Talk, Text and 1GB data[1]
  • $45 – Unlimited Talk, Text and 3GB data[2]
  • $55 – Unlimited Talk, Text and 6GB data

And because we know that ssometimes you just need more data before your next month begins, there’s the $10 Data Pack, a quick and easy way to purchase additional high-speed data – once you’ve hit the speed threshold on any of the three plans. Data Packs are also available now for as low as $2 for 100MB and $5 for 500MB of additional high-speed data. Not sure how much data you use? Here’s a handy guide:

It gets even better. We just added Samsung Galaxy Core Primeto the list of great smartphones available from Sprint Prepaid. Affordably priced at $129.99[3], this marvelous new multitasker features a 4.5-inch display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android™ 4.4, KitKat, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.

There are a number of other handsets available from Sprint Prepaid, which you can check out in Sprint Stores and major retail chains around the country, including Best Buy and Target, with more outlets – and more handsets – to come. For more information, visit www.sprint.com/prepaid or call 1-866-866-7509. There are plans and phones to fit any budget. Pay for service as you need it on Sprint.
