(NYSE:ZAYO) a global provider of Bandwidth Infrastructure services, today announced that Dan Caruso, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Zayo, will deliver the keynote presentation at Metro Connect USA 2015. Zayo is a lead sponsor of the event, which will take place January 26, 27 and 28 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel in Miami.
Caruso’s presentation, “Zayo CEO on ‘Dark Fiber and Towers: Batman vs. Superman, or ‘You’re No Jack Kennedy’?” will address topics from a recent report by investment research firm MoffettNathanson, which includes thoughtful analysis comparing and contrasting the dark fiber and cell tower business models. The presentation will be delivered at 9:30 a.m. EST on January 27.
Zayo is also the sponsor of “Think Tank: Taking Zayo Public,” a panel featuring Dan Caruso, Zayo bankers, and one of Zayo’s lead investors. The panel will be moderated by Jennifer Fritzsche, an analyst from Wells Fargo, and will discuss Zayo’s arrival on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), its impact on fiber-based telecom, and the challenges of going public amid a very turbulent period in the U.S. market. The panel will take place at 5:00 p.m. EST on January 26.
Caruso co-founded Zayo Group in 2006, and led the company to the public market in October 2014. As an angel investor, Caruso helped found Envysion, where he served as Chairman from 2006 to 2013. He is a former Board Member of GTS Central Europe, former director of New Global Telecom, and he has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois.
