IIX to Enable Software-Defined Interconnection to Google Cloud Platform in 20 Markets

IIX’s unique SDIsolution allows enterprises to connect their networks directly to Google Cloud Platform in minutes

Mountain View, CA – Dec. 3, 2014 – IIX Inc., the global software-defined interconnection company, today announced that it is adding Google Cloud Platform to the IIX ecosystem. IIX will offer secure and high-performance access through Google Cloud Interconnect initially in 20 markets to assist Google customers with direct access to products within Google Cloud Platform.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Google in delivering both to-cloud and from-cloudfrom-cloud network orchestration for customers irrespective of their physical location,” said Paul Gampe, CTO of IIX. “Our innovation in software-defined interconnection will allow customers to automatically connect with Google Cloud Platform in minutes.”

IIX is initially offering low-latency connections into Google Cloud Platform in 20 markets around the globe including New York, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Jose, Denver, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Sydney, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam.

A growing number of enterprises have moved their application, platform and infrastructure environments to the cloud to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses. However, most enterprises connect to these solutions over the public Internet today and therefore are increasingly vulnerable to security breaches, outages and performance issues. IIX’s ecosystem and unique software-defined interconnection platform puts control of the network back in the hands of the enterprise, allowing enterprises to connect directly to the cloud-services that are most important to them, with the click of a button.
