Expand: New service offerings as growth opportunities

For the change agency category, addressing the capability of service providers to make a meaningful transformation involving the convergence of mobile and fixed line and also telecom and IT, Huawei ranked as top followed by Ericsson, Nokia, and then Alcatel-Lucent. For the service depth category, examining a service provider’s innovations to expand the managed service value proposition into adjacent business functions of the operator, Huawei ranked second behind Ericsson followed by Alcatel-Lucent and then Nokia.
ABI’s report also provides forecasts for the managed services industry citing Huawei as joint market leader along with Ericsson in 2013 with 30 percent market share. If current trends continue, ABI expects that by 2019, Huawei will achieve industry leadership with 35 percent of the world’s market share.
