In what is now an annual American tradition, many football fans celebrated Thanksgiving weekend with turkey, gravy and some gridiron action. Here is quick look at the top data-heavy pro and college football venues from the past week on our venue-specific networks as well as a few interesting trends we noticed.
Top 5 Professional Venues by Total Mobile Data (11/27-12/1)

- Equivalent to more than 2.9 million social media post with photos
- San Francisco – 688GB
- Equivalent to more than 1.9 million social media post with photos
- Atlanta – 441GB

A Second Helping of Data
- Thanksgiving Day games were stuffed with data from the past week of action.
- Two of the three pro football venues that hosted Thanksgiving Day action were in the top five this week. In fact, the stadiums in Dallas and San Francisco had the 1st and 2nd most data usage respectively of any venues from this past week of action.
- In Dallas, our customers used approximately 26% more data than the season average at the venue so far this season.
- In San Francisco, our customers used approximately 14% more data than the season average at the venue so far this season.
- In college, the two venues that hosted Thanksgiving Day games were both in the top ten this week. In fact, the stadiums in College Station, TX and Austin, TX, had the 2nd and 9th most data usage respectively of any venues from this past week of action.
- In College Station, TX our customers used approximately 22% more data than the season average at the venue this season.
- In Austin, TX, our customers used approximately 22% more data than the season average at the venue this season.
- Two of the three pro football venues that hosted Thanksgiving Day action were in the top five this week. In fact, the stadiums in Dallas and San Francisco had the 1st and 2nd most data usage respectively of any venues from this past week of action.

- All data metrics come from only venues with a DAS where AT&T’s mobile network is on-air and under contract. These metrics are not comprehensive of every game played during this past weekend for professional or college football.
