Sprint iced AT&T and Verizon with a spectacular public event Thursday, Dec. 18, in the heart of New York.
It was clear to customers, viewers and competitors that Sprint is still going full throttle on its Cut Your Bill Event. For two hours, thousands of holiday shoppers, locals and tourists enjoyed the epicenter of commerce and were be blown away by a display of Sprint’s Cut Your Bill in Half Event held in Times Square.
Fear No Ice, a group of ice-sculpting performers showed off their sculpting skills, slicing and dicing blocks of ice in half and into amazing sculptures. Emcees for the event were the AJ Calloway and radio personality Skeery Jones.

Audience participants were asked “do something good.” DoSomething.org mobilizes volunteers to positively influence young peoples’ lives. The request is in line with Sprint’s corporate social responsibility history and offered a chance for participants, and employees, to step up the giving when others are in need during the holiday season. To back up its commitment, Sprint presented at $25,000 check to the organization.
“Everything about yesterday’s event in Times Square was a rousing success,” said Karen Paletta, regional vice president, Sprint Consumer Sales. “We invited our competitors’ customers to bring their bills to Sprint to have their rate plan cut in half and so many did!”
