NTT Communications Wins Award of the Most Innovative Enterprise Offering for the 2nd Consecutive Year

Tokyo, Japan, November 10, 2014 – NTT Communications (NTT Com), ICT solutions and international communications business within NTT (NYSE:NTT, news, filings), today announced that it received an award for Most Innovative Enterprise Offering from the leading ICT market research and advisory firm IDC at the inaugural Telecom Service Provider Innovation (TSPI) Awards held in Singapore on November 7.

IDC invited Asia/Pacific telcos to nominate initiatives they believe warrant special recognition in terms of innovation leading to the achievement of business objectives. NTT Com’s Global Management One (GM1) service was recognized for its innovation in enabling service agility and customer service improvement. Sherlin Pang, one of the judges and senior research manager of communications research at IDC Asia/Pacific says, “This year, the submissions for IDC Telecom Innovation Awards for 2014 were incredibly competitive which underscores how service providers are changing their business models and channel strategy. NTT Communications has won the “Most Innovative Enterprise Offering” award category. The provider impressed upon the judges with its ability to differentiate itself with innovative solutions in the enterprise space, leveraging technologies internally to compete more effectively in the market. NTT Communications’ Global Management One service portfolio provides a complete integrated service management platform for all services, is seamlessly integrated with its cloud and network offerings and allows the provider to remotely manage the entire IT systems, leading to cost savings and operational efficiency both to enterprises as well to the telco.”

GM1 provides a single management platform and service delivery methodology to deliver a wide range of managed services. Combining NTT Com’s existing core service capabilities in managed IPVPN, Cloud and managed services, the GM1 service portfolio leverages the expertise of the entire NTT Communications group (including recently acquired application and communications service providers) to provide customers with remote management of the entire IT ecosystem. GM1 is seamlessly integrated with NTT Com’s cloud and network offerings.

Judging was handled by the TSPI Awards Assessment Panel comprising highly respected independent industry practitioners, and IDC Asia Pacific Telecom and Four Pillars’ Practice Leads. Entries were measured against a rigorous set of matrices, including effectiveness of implementations, angle of innovation, business advantages, and impact on customers, market take-up and response to market needs.
