Yakima, WA – November 6, 2014: Noel Communications Inc., a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) that delivers data services to customers in the Western U.S., and Fatbeam, a Competitive Access Provider servicing the Pacific Northwest, have entered into a multi-year agreement to lease more than 60 miles of metro fiber optic network in Yakima, Washington.
Fatbeam has agreed to lease dark fiber to Noel Communications, augmenting the existing Noel network with this additional infrastructure. In addition, over the last year, Noel Communications has made significant investments in Washington, including the construction of new broadband fiber in most of the cities it serves.
“This agreement is an outstanding opportunity to augment our already considerable network infrastructure in Yakima, our home town. This expansion allows us to provide our exemplary service to more customers in the greater Yakima area,” stated Nick Guy, Executive Director of Noel Communications.
“Fatbeam builds high capacity fiber networks and looks to partners, like Noel Communications, to further enhance connectivity and support economic development in local markets,” said Greg Green, President of Fatbeam. “This partnership will expand competitive access to high quality fiber services for the greater Yakima Valley community.”
Noel Communications will also offer Ethernet data transport and Internet services to business, healthcare, education, telecommunication, and government customers.
