Pacnet delivers high-performance technology solutions over its region’s most extensive high-capacity submarine cable. Pacnet’s ability to capitalize on BTI’s compact, extensible and scalable metro portfolio to provide 100GE and 10GE support for major cloud service providers and colocation sites played a key role in earning BTI the win in this strategically critical opportunity.

Pacnet owns and operates the leading pan-Asian submarine cable network. Comprising 19 cable landing stations and extending from India to the U.S., this includes a 100G subsea network in Asia to support growth in Web 2.0/cloud traffic. Offering high-capacity, low-latency services, Pacnet’s data centers are connected to the subsea cable network at the landing stations. Pacnet recently extended its network to support 100G DWDM connectivity for metro data center interconnect using the BTI 7800 Series Intelligent Cloud Connect platforms.
