Cloud Provider selects Interxion data centre

Quality, neutrality and expansion opportunities decisive factors for cloud hosting and IaaS provider

Amsterdam, October 30 2014 – For colocation of its new cloud platform, Cloud Provider – a cloud hosting and IaaS provider – has selected Interxion, a leading European provider of cloud and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services.

Cloud Provider is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider for companies who require high performance in order to deliver quality services to their own end customers, such as e-commerce or web applications.

Cloud Provider selected Interxion to house their new scalable, high-performance cloud platform for its state-of-the-art data centre services, for the wide range of carriers available, and for its ability to support their plans for further expansion within Europe.

Interxion offers space, power and connectivity options, supporting high-density computing which enables Cloud Provider to offer high level cloud services to its customers. Cloud Provider developed the new platform with OnApp CloudPOD reference architecture, which allowed them to bring the new platform to market much faster. Cloud Provider customers can manage their own cloud environment independently through their updated customer portal.

Sander Cruiming, General Manager at Cloud Provider: “Interxion met all our requirements, allowing us to offer our customers advanced high level cloud services. And when it comes to further growth, we made the right decision as Interxion has 37 data centres across 11 countries in Europe with uniform quality and service, all with the convenience of a single account manager, customer service centre and contract.”

Michael van den Assem, Managing Director Interxion Netherlands: “With businesses migrating more and more of their workloads to centrally managed cloud computing platforms, the dependency on the underlying data centre, compute and network infrastructure increases. Interxion will continue to enable Cloud Provider to deliver enterprise based solutions to the market, by providing reliable, scalable and well-connected data centre services.”
