Atlanta – October 15, 2014 – Birch Communications, Inc., (“Birch”) a leading technology service provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, today announced its new executive leadership team, following its acquisition of Cbeyond on July 18, 2014.
The post-acquisition executive management team includes Vincent M. Oddo, President and Chief Executive Officer; Chris Aversano, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Edward James, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Chris Bunce, Senior Vice President and General Counsel; Christopher Ramsey, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer; and Melanie Kreh, Vice President of Marketing.
Ramsey, who previously held the role of senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer, will operate as chief sales officer and senior vice president at Birch. He is based at the company’s Atlanta Operations Center and is responsible for managing all retail sales channels including: Direct Sales, Indirect Sales, Outbound Telesales, Inside Sales, Enterprise Sales and Alternative Vertical Sales.
Kreh, who previously served as senior director of segment marketing with Cbeyond, was promoted to vice president of marketing at Birch. In her new position, she manages the following groups: Product Marketing, Lead Generation, Special Pricing and Marketing Communications. Kreh had been with Cbeyond since 2009 and had held marketing, product and project management, financial management and engineering roles over the course of her career. She is also located at Birch’s Atlanta Operations Center.
