[Shenzhen and Beijing, China, Oct. 16, 2014]: Huawei and Accenture have formally entered into a strategic alliance agreement to develop and market innovative solutions to address customer requirements in both the communications service providers (CSPs) and enterprise ICT markets.
Under the strategic agreement, the companies will develop joint initiatives focusing initially on clients in China, Southeast Asia, other emerging markets and select opportunities in developed markets. The companies will leverage Huawei’s wide portfolio of leading hardware and software products and solutions, and Accenture’s capabilities in consulting, systems integration and outsourcing. The companies will focus on providing CSP’s with business support system and systems integration services to support areas such as billing, customer care and other supporting business functions. The companies will also leverage Accenture’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering with Huawei’s private cloud infrastructure to offer pre-designed and integrated private cloud solutions to enterprises across industries.
“In an era where the physical and digital worlds are increasingly converging, no enterprise is able to address all customer needs alone. Enterprises need to collaborate openly and integrate their resources and capabilities to help customers succeed. Huawei adheres to the principles of openness, cooperation and win-win partnership, and is committed to working with industry alliance partners to provide customers with competitive solutions, as well as to create a robust industry ecosystem,” said Mr. Eric Xu, Rotating CEO of Huawei. “Our collaboration with Accenture will further augment Huawei’s business in the enterprise ICT market, enabling us to build on our diverse product portfolio to offer our enterprise and carrier customers even more innovative software and services solutions that support them in boosting efficiency and driving revenue growth.”
“The combination of Accenture’s industry-aligned offerings and reputation for delivery excellence together with a new and enhanced set of offerings based on Huawei’s infrastructure and software products will enable us to better help clients achieve their business requirements with reduced costs, risks and time of implementation,” said Mr. Gianfranco Casati, Group Chief Executive – Growth Markets of Accenture.
The agreement also allows potential expansion into more areas of collaboration for carrier and enterprise solutions as additional joint opportunities develop.
