Level 3 Expands Network in Georgia

Alpharetta Subloop Will Provide More than 600 Technology Companies Access to the Global Level 3 Network

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) today announced plans to expand its network in Alpharetta, Georgia, a technology hub in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. The project will provide local customers with access to Level 3’s enhanced network capabilities and portfolio of data, security, video, voice and unified communications solutions to support today’s emerging technologies that demand efficient, scalable and secure options. Upon project completion, Level 3 will have more than 300 on-net buildings and approximately 265 metro route miles in the greater Atlanta area, securely connecting hundreds of buildings directly to its network.
