“We are pleased to welcome Josh to the Open-IX Association board of directors,” said David Temkin, co-founder and chairman, Open-IX Association. “As a key driver of CyrusOne’s OIX-2 data center certifications and an active member of the OIX Data Center Standards Committee, Josh has been an ardent supporter of the Open-IX Association since its inception. His vast experience, deep technical understanding, and new perspectives of the market will prove to be tremendous assets as we continue to advance our goals during this exciting time for Open-IX.”
Open-IX is a nonprofit organized and operated by volunteers from the Internet community who aim to increase the reliability, resiliency, and competitiveness of massive-scale interconnection for all.
“I’m extremely honored to have been elected to the Open-IX board,” said Snowhorn. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to continue to advance the standards that promote improved data transfer, connectivity, reliability, and security for our industry.”
The Open-IX board is comprised of volunteer representatives from the Internet community, converging to create a better, safer, stronger, and fairer Internet. In addition to controlling all aspects of the Association’s property, affairs, and business, the Open-IX board of directors is also responsible for safeguarding the Open Stand compliant standards development that the Internet community has entrusted to it, instituting and conducting the OIX-1 and OIX-2 certification process for Internet exchanges and data centers, and determining whether those entities have met or exceeded the Open-IX minimum standards of performance.
