Frontier is committed to sponsoring more than 50 flags across the United States and has presented Honor and Remember flags to five Connecticut families. On Monday, August 18 at 6:30 p.m., Frontier will sponsor the presentation of an Honor and Remember flag to the parents of Pvt. Sam Mercouriou of Suffield, Connecticut. Pvt. Mercouriou, age 18, died on December 8, 2011 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The ceremony at the Connecticut Still Revolutionary Stage will commemorate this young soldier’s service in the Connecticut Army National Guard and to his country.

August 17-23 attendees will enjoy LUCKY ROW, a tournament-long event that singles out a row of eight during each of the 12 sessions. The winners will enjoy the tournament even more perched on their Frontier Seat Cushions. The Connecticut Open is an excellent opportunity for the public to learn more about Frontier Communications, says Dan McCarthy, President and Chief Operating Officer. He noted, “Frontier’s corporate headquarters has been in Connecticut since 1946, but we will have a dramatically higher profile upon completion of our transaction to acquire AT&T’s wireline business and statewide fiber network that provides services to residential, commercial and wholesale customers in Connecticut. Frontier will also acquire AT&T’s U-verse video and satellite TV customers in Connecticut.” McCarthy added, “The Connecticut Open is a perfect occasion to introduce ourselves on a broad scale. We are a Connecticut company that is 100 percent U.S.-based, hires locally and believes in local engagement. We know Frontier will be a great match for Connecticut and look forward to introducing ourselves to Open attendees.”
