[Shenzhen, China, July 13, 2014]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced that its CEO and founder Ren Zhengfei met Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome Wirtu at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen. President Mulatu visited Huawei’s exhibition halls and had a talk with Mr. Ren Zhengfei.

President Mulatu extended his appreciation and recognition of Huawei’s efforts in improving communications services in Ethiopia. He said: “I’m happy to know that Ethiopia Telecom is satisfied with your performance and they are looking forward to further strengthen the cooperation scope to a new phase. “
President Mulatu added, “We’re expecting Huawei to think of a long-term strategic partnership with Ethiopia. You have to think the sustainable partnership and strategic investments in Ethiopia, including giving advice and opinions on how we develop Ethiopia’s telecom and IT industry so that we can become a leading country in Africa.”
