Frontier Communications Appoints Paul Quick as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Connecticut Operations

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE:FTR, news, filings), a leading provider of broadband, voice, data and satellite television services, today announced thatPaul Quick has been appointed Senior Vice President andGeneral Manager of itsConnecticut operations. Quick will oversee field operations, residential and commercial sales, and every aspect of the customer experience inConnecticut and be based in Frontier’s state headquarters inHartford.

Quick’s appointment is part of Frontier’s definitive agreement with AT&T, Inc., announced December 17, 2013, to acquire AT&T’s wireline business and statewide fiber network that provides services to residential, commercial and wholesale customers in Connecticut. Frontier will also acquire AT&T’s U-verse video and satellite TV customers in Connecticut. Upon approval of the transaction by the Connecticut Public Utility Regulatory Authority and the Federal Communications Commission, Connecticut will join New York and Pennsylvania as part of the company’s new East Region, headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut. At the close of the transaction with AT&T, Connecticut will be the largest of Frontier’s 28 operating states.

Most recently Quick was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Frontier’s Pennsylvania operations. “Since joining Frontier in May 2012, Paul has developed strategies that are customer-focused and results-oriented,” said Dan McCarthy, President and Chief Operating Officer of Frontier. “I am very pleased that Connecticut, Frontier’s home state since 1946, will benefit from the experience of a proven leader who has demonstrated a great ability to manage operations, engage employees and enhance customer, business and community relationships. Prior to Frontier, Quick served as President of CSS Industries’ Paper Magic Group where he was responsible for overall business strategy, product development, sales and marketing and Profit & Loss for Paper Magic’s social expression products. Quick was Vice President and General Manager for the Walgreens Team for Hallmark Cards, leading the group that supported Hallmark’s third-largest customer. From 2000-2006, he was President of the Image Arts division of Hallmark and earlier, General Manager of its Specialty Products division. He served as General Manager in the Emerging Brands and Channels Division, Internal Audit Director in the Corporate Finance Division, and Marketing Manager for Season Greeting Cards.

Quick received an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BS in Business Administration from Drake University, and executive education in Minority Board Director Development and Consumer Marketing Strategy at Northwestern University. He has been an active member of the community in Pennsylvania and intends to be very active in Connecticut as the company expands its presence throughout the state. Quick is currently a board member of the United Way of Wyoming Valley, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. He served on the board of the Alliance for Children and Families and was a board member and Chairman for Heart of America Family Services.
