Colt Technology Services today announced it has been positioned as a ‘Leader’ in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud Enabled European Managed Hosting. 1 This follows on from last year’s Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting, where Colt was positioned the highest for its ability to execute.
According to Gartner, the report has been written to reflect that “This is a new evolution of a mature market, with a wide variety of vendor offerings and capabilities, so infrastructure managers must choose with care.” The analyst firm remarked that “Cloud-enabled managed hosting brings cloudlike consumption and provisioning attributes to the traditional managed hosting market in Europe.” Colt believes its recognition by Gartner is due to its performance on a range of requirements addressed by its network, co-location, hosting and cloud services, a strong pan-European presence and the broadening of its enterprise and SME portfolio offerings.
“We are proud to have been positioned as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud-Enabled European Managed Hosting,” said Hugo Harber, VP Portfolio & Strategy, IT Services at Colt. “We believe this reflects Colt’s on-going investment in enterprise application capabilities as well as extensive Pan-European presence and in-country expertise. Colt provides highly reliable and flexible IT solutions that support and accelerate the business success of our customers”.
Colt also recently announced that it retained its product viability rating of ‘Good’ in the latest Gartner Critical Capabilities for Pan-European Network Services. 2 Colt also improved its overall score for core city backbone use cases from 4.4 to 4.6 out of a possible rating of five.
