Second Contract Award from California Department of Technology Qualifies High-Bandwidth Network Services for State Government Agencies
Portland, Ore. – June 10, 2014 – Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, has been awarded a second contract by the California Department of Technology Statewide Technology Procurement Division as part of the CALNET 3 program for the following CALNET 3 categories:
- Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) Ethernet
- SONET Ring Connectivity
- SONET Point-to-Point Connectivity
- Managed Internet Services
In alignment with these categories, Integra will now offer its Ethernet Services, Private Line (SONET) networking and High Speed Internet services throughout California to state agencies and other participants in the CALNET 3 program.
The contracts were awarded in phase two of the three-phase CALNET 3 initiative established to provide the next generation of telecommunications services to California state and local departments and agencies. The award makes Integra’s high-bandwidth Ethernet Services, Private Line networking services and High Speed Internet services available to California government agencies and departments, as well as public sector and non-profit customers, through the CALNET 3 procurement process. In November, Integra received a contract for voice and data services as part of the initiative’s first phase.
“The second award from CALNET 3 is further validation of Integra’s proven success serving state and local governments with a full range of voice, data and networking solutions,” said Integra CEO Kevin O’Hara. “We’re pleased to be a part of this innovative, forward-thinking technology initiative and look forward to the mission-critical work of supporting California state agencies and those whom they serve.” Integra has significant fiber network assets throughout California, with dense metro fiber networks in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area linked by long haul backbones across the state, including a recently announced route segment extending from Sacramento to Salt Lake City.
