Sabey Company Hosts Seattle Area Delegation Visiting New York City

A data center company that’s a unit of Seattle-based Sabey Corp. hosted a study group of Seattle-area business and government leaders on a visit to New York City this week.

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, Bellevue MayorClaudia Balducci, Redmond Mayor John Marchione, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Maud Daudon and Virginia Mason CEO Dr. Gary Kaplan were among those attending a Global Competitiveness dinner hosted bySabey Data Center Properties at Sabey’s Intergate.Manhattan data center in Lower Manhattan, the data company said in a release.

The April 29 dinner opening the mission was sponsored by Microsoft Corp., according to Sabey. The data company said nearly 100 people attended the event.

The Intercity Study Mission’s four-day visit is part of a Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce program involving trips to different cities every year. Topics this year include technology and economy, higher education, parks and waterfront, world-class creative industries and tourism, according to the chamber website.

Sabey Data Center Properties operates multitenant data centers for financial, technology and health care companies. The 32-story Intergate.Manhattan covers 1 million square feet and includes a Con Ed substation on the second and third floors, Sabey said.
