Sentinel Data Centers and MCNC Partner to Extend Fiber, Collocation Services to NC-1 Facility in Durham

Combination of Broadband Infrastructure and Enterprise Data Center Capabilities Extends Competitive Advantages for Sentinel NC-1 Occupants

DURHAM, N.C., April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Sentinel Data Centers, a leading enterprise data center provider, and MCNC, the technology non-profit that builds, owns, and operates a leading-edge broadband infrastructure for North Carolina’sresearch, education, and non-profit health care community, today announced a broad ranging collaboration through which MCNC has extended  fiber on the North Carolina Research and Education Network (NCREN) into Sentinel’s NC-1 data center in Durham to serve current and future Sentinel customers. Through the alliance, MCNC also will seek to house its customers’ future data center needs at Sentinel’s state-of-the-art NC-1 facility.
