Motive’s Network Analyzer helping Telekom Srbija increase its high quality network performance and enhance customer experience
Paris, April 28, 2014
Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced the deployment by Telekom Srbija of its Motive Network Analyzer solution as part of a network upgrade to provide customers throughout Serbia with ultra-broadband access to high-speed Internet, video-on-demand and advanced new business services.
Telekom Srbija will use the system to provide a high quality customer experience to its more than one million customers over existing multi-vendor, multi-technology copper access (DSL) lines.
The Motive Network Analyzer enables the operator to remotely diagnose line quality and act proactively addressing issues before they impact the customer. It also offers dynamic line management (DLM) technology, which ensures optimal performance.
Telekom Srbija is making significant investments in its broadband copper infrastructure by migrating to VDSL2 vectoring technology that will deliver higher speeds to meet the demand for superfast broadband connections and high quality video content. Motive Network Analyzer allows Telekom Srbija to maximize this investment with its Upgrade Predictor functionality, which ensures that the service requested by the customer can be delivered with the required quality.
- Telekom Srbija is using the Motive Network Analyzer to guarantee a high quality experience of its high-speed internet and triple play services, as well as to provide its users with the highest possible broadband speeds.
- The Motive Network Analyzer helps Telekom Srbija to ensure that its existing digital subscriber lines (DSL) meet the quality and stability demands of consumer and business users, while also reducing operational costs through continuous monitoring of the DSL lines.
- One of the products available under the Motive portfolio of Customer Experience Solutions (CXS), the Motive Network Analyzer works in a multivendor environment and manages more than 80 million access lines around the world.
Mr. Filip Bankovic, CTO of Telekom Srbija said: “In an increasingly competitive market, keeping our current customers satisfied as well as appealing to new customers is an important strategic objective. They expect an enhanced overall experience and we consider it our obligation to fulfill their expectations. Alcatel-Lucent was able to very effectively show the advantages of using a tool like Network Analyzer for managing our xDSL network, thus guaranteeing high quality internet and video services, and we are looking forward to reaping the benefits of its deployment.”
Emil Visloguzov, Country Leader of Alcatel-Lucent said: “We have been collaborating with Telekom Srbija Group for a long time, and we always aim to help our partners meet their commitment of providing high quality and differentiating service experiences to end users. We effectively demonstrated how the Motive Network Analyzer improves network reliability and reduces costs within Telekom Srbija’s multi-vendor access network environment. By deploying this technology to monitor and manage its fixed lines, Telekom Srbija can sustain the ultra-broadband connections seamlessly to deliver video and other data intensive services that its subscribers demand.”
