BOULDER, Colo. – March 19, 2014 – Global Bandwidth Infrastructure services provider Zayo Group, LLC (“Zayo”), has been awarded the 2014 U.S. Long Haul Wholesale Service Provider Excellence Award by ATLANTIC-ACM. The annual award is based on the 2014 edition of ATLANTIC-ACM’s U.S. Long Haul Wholesale Carrier Report Card, a series of ratings of telecommunications carriers by wholesale customers collected between December 2013-February 2014. Zayo won in the “Provisioning” category for superior performance in delivering new services to customers.
Zayo’s Long Haul network connects its deep metro fiber footprints across the U.S. and Europe, and has grown both organically and through acquisition. Zayo’s network reach enables delivery of fiber-based services to customers in 297 metro markets, including large metros like New York City and Washington, D.C., to smaller cities like Spokane and Fargo. In 2013, Zayo announced a 2,500-route mile network expansion to extend Long Haul connectivity into the Southeast U.S., and the addition of a 1,200 mile route between Chicago and Denver by acquiring dark fiber operator FiberLink, LLC. Zayo also expanded their new 100G wavelength services in Europe starting with availability between London and Amsterdam. Zayo now has 100G routes in 28 major locations in the U.S. and Europe.
