Zayo Group Extends Dark Fiber Network into Continuum Data Centers’ New West Chicago Facility

WEST CHICAGO, Ill.–()–Chicago colocation solutions provider New Continuum Holdings Corporation dba Continuum Data Centers (“CDC”) announces that global Bandwidth Infrastructure provider Zayo Group, LLC, (“Zayo”), has extended its network into CDC’s 603 Discovery Dr. data center in Chicago’s western suburbs. The two companies also have executed a joint marketing and partnership agreement.

Zayo will offer low-latency connectivity from the suburban 603 Discovery Dr. facility to key locations such as 2905 Diehl Dr. (Aurora) and 350 E. Cermak (Chicago), which offer connectivity to the downtown businesses such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Its dark fiber network will enable the data center access to Zayo’s full suite of services, including wavelengths, Ethernet, IP services and SONET services.

“Extending Zayo’s fiber network into CDC’s Tier III, SSAE 16, HIPAA, and PCI compliant facility in West Chicago provides a direct link between our asset and other Zayo on-net facilities,” says Eli D. Scher, CEO of Continuum Data Centers. “CDC strongly believes in aligning with industry leading partners to provide the highest service level to our growing customer base. The partnership with Zayo supports this part of our operating philosophy.”

“The Zayo network is specifically engineered to deliver fast, dedicated, secure connectivity to critical business locations,” says Zach Nebergall, vice president of Dark Fiber at Zayo Group. “By expanding our network into Continuum’s West Chicago facility, we are helping CDC’s customers to meet bandwidth demand driven by financial and content services companies in the region.”

The facility will be completed in late summer 2014.
