New York, NY (March 21, 2014) – Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and data center solutions, today announced the availability of Atlas Communications Technology’s new cloud-based solutions at their NYC1 data center facility located at 60 Hudson Street, New York and their NJR2 data center facility located on Telx’s Clifton Campus at 100 Delawanna Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey. Atlas Communications Technology’s services leverage the Telx data center portfolio to rapidly provide customized cloud-service options throughout the New York/New Jersey metro area. Telx’s New York/New Jersey facilities create a unique topology that allow a client to establish physical redundancy and customized cloud solutions in two completely separate infrastructures while managed by one operator.
“The Telx data center is central to our cloud strategy, allowing us to provide secure, resilient service to our customers, especially as we continue to roll out our growing slate of cloud-based technologies,” said Jeff Li, Director of Marketing at Atlas Communications Technology.
“Partnering with Atlas Communications Technology illustrates Telx’s role as a cloud enabler and strategic partner to technology companies serving the financial and trading community. The colocation and network rich services and high power density, energy efficient space within our facilities is a distinguishing advantage,” said John Freimuth, GM of Cloud and IT Services at Telx. “Our robust connectivity, network flexibility, and data center solutions in the New York/New Jersey metro area combined with the cloud-based solutions offered by Atlas Communications Technology, provides the financial and trading community the high performance and availability they demand with increased mobility, security, and resilience.”
NYC1 leverages Telx’s dense connectivity environments at both the NYC2 data center (111 8th Ave) and the newly established NYC3 data center (32 Avenues of the Americas) offering the collective Telx customer base access to over 600+ network alternatives. In combination with Telx’s Tier III Clifton Campus in New Jersey, Telx offers the most robust, connected, and comprehensive set of data center solutions in the New York/New Jersey metro area with significant capacity for customer growth requirements.
NJR2, located on Telx’s Clifton Campus in New Jersey at 100 Delawanna Avenue, is one of the most network rich, interconnected colocation centers in the New York/New Jersey metro area. Located just 11-miles outside of Manhattan, this 210,000 gross square foot data center is an ideal location for financial services firms looking to run low-latency back office operations or for enterprises seeking a lower cost location outside of New York City to host business continuity/disaster recovery, storage back-up or other networking applications.
